Browns Hotel is world famous due to it having been the favourite bar of Welsh poet and writer Dylan Thomas. The hotel, built in 1752, is situated in the ancient township of Laugharne, located on the Taf estuary as it sweeps into Carmarthen Bay. Herons and curlews patrol a romantic shoreline which is part of the Wales Coast Path, and the town has a fine castle, gifts shops and cafes, as well as the Dylan Thomas Boathouse museum.
Browns Hotel has recently undergone a million pound renovation which has restored the building to its glorious 1950s heyday. There are 15 sumptuous bedrooms, Reading Room, Bar and a unique conference facility for groups of up to 20, with food and refreshments available. The hotel’s location, as well as the care of our attentive staff, make this a truly memorable option if you are planning a meeting or conference in South Wales.
We offer a variety of packages, and preferential rates are available for parties of 8 or more. Packages are also available for day or overnight delegates including room hire & catering.
Conference Room Hire
Browns Meeting Room – 14 delegates in a ‘boardroom’ style, or 20 in a ‘theatre-seat’ style: £150.00 per day.

24 Hour Delegate
£125 per person: includes daily delegate package, bed & breakfast in a Classic room & buffet lunch
£135 per person: as above but in a Grand room
£145 per person: as above but in a Suite
The B&B supplement for a 2nd guest sharing with a delegate but not attending the meeting or conference is £30 per night
36 Hour Delegate Rate
Unfinished business? To continue a meeting the morning after, we charge £10 per person to include room hire in the same room until 1pm, plus one service of tea & coffee.

Dining & Refreshments
Private dining, in the conference room, is also available at additional cost and again, please contact us with any enquiries.
Tea & coffee will be available in the conference room. However, we offer the option of a buffet served in our beautiful Reading Room if you fancy a change of scenery. Please note: sit-down meals have to be taken in the conference room.
A 25% non-refundable deposit of the room hire fee is required to secure your event.
