The Reading Room

Our comfortable Reading Room has a rich history as a meeting place – and it very much carries on that tradition. In the past it was a bustling nook where business was done between haggling farmers on market days; now it's a snug room which takes you away from life's superhighway for a relaxing tea or coffee. Rich wool textures and pattern combine with leather and wood to give a warm and welcoming environment. The stone-work steals through the fresh lime plaster creating a unique dialogue with the recent post-warpast.

There's a lovingly collated library of books which relate to our most famous regular, Dylan Thomas. The window seat is a great place to watch the world go by, and this room is also use d by the Browns Hotel Book Club - a group open to all where you can join in with the regulars to discuss a good book whether you have read it or not - to be honest, some of the regulars often haven't read the designated book themselves! Details of the book club can be found on the Browns' facebook page.
