The Reading Room
Our fantastic little Reading Room has a rich history as a meeting place – and it very much carries on that tradition. In the past it was a bustling nook where business was done between haggling farmers on market days; now it's a snug room which takes you away from life's busy superhighway for a relaxing tea or coffee.
A beautiful post-war elegance welcomes you and there's a lovingly collated library of books which relate to our most famous regular, Dylan Thomas.
Unwind as you sink into a comfortable lounge chairs, whilst you read by soft ambient lighting in the embrace of the old inglenook. Or relax into your break, by the window seat and simply watch the world go by.
Rich wool textures and pattern combined with leather and wood give a warm and welcoming environment, synonymous with the excellent service Browns offers. The stone work steals through the fresh lime plaster creating a unique dialog with the past.
Calm, comfortable and soothing, the Browns Reading Room will be one of those places you will want to visit again and again.
